The Huila region of Colombia has long been known for producing some of Colombia’s finest coffees. We’ve loved having this coffee in our lineup because it is just complex enough so that we never grow tired of it. We’ve been brewing it in heaps at the warehouse to keep us caffeinated as we fill orders. This coffee has a bright acidity that presents itself in the form of a mango-heavy profile. The mango note is balanced out with ripe blueberry sweetness and a brown sugar finish.
The Andes mountain ranges in Huila provide an optimal climate for coffee growth. With cooler temperatures and ample shade, cherries, here, ripen slowly and develop rich, natural sugars, which lead to sweetness in the coffees. This coffee went through a washed process, which is evident in how clean and crisp this coffee is. We highly recommend brewing this coffee in a chemex or a batch brewer - trust us, you’ll love this coffee!
