Cascavel Vermelha, which in Portuguese translates to "Red Rattlesnake", is a community lot from the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil. This coffee was sourced with whole harvest purchasing methods, which provides more fully for producers. Sucafina, who imported this coffee, works closely with a handful of producers in Brazil in order to understand their production costs, and, in doing so, they're able to ensure that their producer partners receive the best possible rates for their coffees. This coffee is smooth and balanced with with a fully, creamy mouthfeel and a pleasant fruit sweetness reminiscent of cherries.
Update on Our Coffees Brazil :
This is a new Brazilian offering for Non-Fiction, one which we explored due to the complicated landscape that many Brazilian farmers are facing right now. Our longstanding Brazil partnership with Our Coffees is still ongoing, but they're currently up against shipping challenges. They recently shared with us that their coffee has been in a shipping container on the coast of California for a few months now. We're eager to see their coffee make its way to US soil, but in the meantime we're very glad to share Cascavel Vermelha with you all.
We're all learning how to pivot quickly these days, ever conscious so we don't bend or lose sight of our vision and mission : to dignify the work of farmers and their communities. Thank y'all for joining us in this journey -- we're honored to be moving toward a more equitable coffee industry with you all, the best community we could ask for, one relationship and one coffee at a time.
Please Note: All coffee bean orders are roasted fresh and may take 24-48 hours before shipping.
